Well I would say that yesterday marked a fantastic end to a remarkable summer. Now it's back to school!!!! Please keep our children in your prayers this week as many of them transition to brand new schools, and some begin their very first day ever! |

On that note...this Sunday we will do something very special for our kids at the 10:30 service. Please have your children bring their book bags with them to church...during the children's sermon we will have our first "Blessing of the Backpacks" and we will pray for our kids as they begin the new school year...and it's YOUTH SUNDAY so our EYC will be leading music!!!!!!! |

Speaking of our children...don't forget that Ed Buskirk and I will be leading the EYC every week...we begin in the youth room at 6:30 and we will finish between 8 and 8:15. We are focusing on the issues that are important to them and we are having incredible discussions...if your kids are in grades 6-12...it is our prayer that we will see them on Wednesday night!!!! |

Our "Fiesta Dinner" is this Thursday night at 6:00 in the parish hall...all proceeds go to help our After School Program!!!!!!!! |

We have a BIG WORK DAY this Saturday as we put the finishing touches on our new classrooms...we need lots of folks to help paint!!! We begin at 8:00 in the morning! |

Did you know???? **The men of the church meet for bible study every Wednesday at 6:30 am? **There is a service of Holy Communion with healing prayer every Wednesday night at 6:00? **There is a bible study every Wednesday night at 7:00? **Sunday School Rally Day is only 2 weeks away...make Sunday school a part of your regular Christian Formation!!!!! **There will be a half day Men's Retreat on September 13th (details coming)!!!!! **Our first La Porte Bulldog home game is September 5th...BBQ time!!!!!!!! |
